We arrived in St. Petersburg after an up-and-down flight from Helsinki. We barely got off the ground and it was time to land. We left Helsinki it was a bright, sunny day. We landed in St. Petersburg greeted by heavy rains.
We were met by our guide - Tatiana and quickly escorted to the Comfort Hotel which will be our base for the next four days. We have a nice suite at the Comfort and they welcomed us with a special gift for our anniversary.
It was Saturday afternoon and we went for an exploratory drive around St. Petersburg. We might have walked but it was raining and kind of nasty out so we drove. One thing that piqued our interest was the number of wedding parties that we saw. Each place we stopped there were 3 or four or more wedding parties.
